-----It was just dark when we arrived at the picnic shelter at Cottonwood Cove. Roy was putting the finishing touches on as fine a steak as we've ever eaten. The river shimmered in the cold darkness behind the shelter, but warmth, good food and friendship, filled the air. A gathering with friends, on the shores of Lake Mojave, is a great winter event.
